Penn Square Partner's mission is to create a meaningful and sustainable development that will redeploy the historic Watt & Shand Building and enhance the surrounding quadrant around Penn Square within the context of the overall revitalization efforts of its community.

Penn Square Partners' goal is to open the doors once again of a beloved building that is considered "the heart and soul" of Lancaster. Through a strong public/private partnership with the Lancaster County Convention Center Authority, Penn Square Partners is redeveloping this magnificent, historically significant structure into the 300-room, full-service Marriott Lancaster at Penn Square as part of an integrated facility which includes a new convention center. The hotel and convention center facility will have more than 90,000 square feet of flexible meeting space including an exhibit hall, grand ballrooms, and board and conference rooms.
